Lauryn Prattes has been in the world of weddings and event design for 15 years. Starting with work on the editorial side working for a bridal magazine while writing a “how to” planning guide for brides and gaining experience in bridal fashion through Saks Fifth Avenue bridal boutique, working for Wedding Wire and eventually settling into wedding planning and design 10 years ago. Over the past ten years Lauryn has specialized in weddings across the globe, with a focus on tented home weddings and free-standing event venues.

With a passion for well thought out design, flawless execution and editorial styling Lauryn has been recognized as one of the top wedding planners in DC by numerous publications, as well as named one of the top planners in the country by Martha Stewart Weddings. She is known for her luxury and ultra-luxury events and her clientele include multiple high profile clients and politicians, including having a sitting United States President and Vice-President attend one of her events.

Lauryn brings her knowledge of fashion and interior design to her events, working with layers of texture and details to create personalized and high style events. Lauryn’s natural design taste is classic and timeless design with a modern and romantic twist. Memories of visiting Paris as a little girl, and later her study abroad trip there also serve as influence to many of her events, bringing a subtle hint of Parisian flair. No matter how beautiful the design, Lauryn knows it is equally important that the logistics of the event operation run smoothly as well. Her 15+ years of event experience ensures that every detail is well thought out and planned for.

When Lauryn isn’t planning weddings you can find her chasing after her almost three year old daughter, Harper Rose, and cooking dinner at home with her husband Michael.

With over a decade of experience designing events for esteemed dignitaries and the world’s most respected leaders, Ramsey is renowned for her impeccable taste, unfailingly positive energy, and professional discretion. She understands that how an event feels is equally important to how it looks, prioritizing special, intimate moments amidst incredible scenery and celebration.

Ramsey’s love of design and beautiful details began at a young age, watching her grandmother, a trusted friend and clothing designer for multiple First Ladies including Nancy Reagan, Betty Ford, and Lady Bird Johnson. She learned early on that having a passion for perfection will never go out of style, and that creating beauty in everyday moments brings joy to herself and others.

Ramsey joined the LPE team in 2016 and immediately became beloved by our clients and creative partners. Francesca Leme (Francie) is a natural-born planner and leader. Growing up in the suburbs of DC, she exhibited early styling proclivity, meticulously planning themed parties, designing costumes, and mastering the term DIY..all at the age of 9.

A lover of logistics and design, Francie has spearheaded many social events and fundraisers, as well as interior design projects. After college, Francie joined an international educational firm based in the DC area, where she quickly advanced through the ranks of sales, operations, management, and business development. Event and wedding planning fully shifted from a passion to a career following the planning of her own wedding, and she hasn’t stopped producing beautiful events since.

Francie is an edgy, innovative thinker, a fixer, a detail enthusiast, a go-getter, a list checker, and will stop at nothing to get the intended result. She thrives on humor and sees the beauty in all the organized chaos of running an event. A natural “word sleuth” Francie can be found coming up with catchy phrases and playful verbiage for signage, and will be the first to catch a typo in any document.

Francie lives at the Wharf with her husband and new baby Emerson, as well as their dog, Siri. In her spare time she is also mastering Italian in the hopes of any weddings abroad.

who we are

Wether it is a signature cocktail names after the location of your first kiss, or a cocktail bar featuring drinks from the restaurant you got engaged at, providing your guests with a well styled signature sip is the perfect way to welcome them and set the tone for the rest of the event, while infusing some personal details too.

A brides wedding gown is such an incredible special part of the wedding day, and intimate part of the planning process. When our clients allow, we love to be part of styling our clients look from head to toe, ensuring she is in the perfect gown to say "I Do", which often influences some of the rest of the design too!

To us, design is all about the layers. For seated dinners, part of these layers is creating the perfect, inviting table for guests to enjoy while the eat, toast and laugh the night away. From artfully selecting the perfect linen, place setting, menus and florals, so much care, thought and time goes into creating each of our table designs.

We have a weak spot for pretty paper goods and believe that they truly set the tone for any great event. And of course we love calligraphy and have been known to challenge our calligraphers to write on everything from macarons to glass jars.

We love a statement floral moment that wows guests and anchors the space. From floral arches to floral bars, we love dreaming up ways to have your flowers make a big statement in the space.
