Owner Lauryn Prattes' own wedding took place at the historic Anderson House in Washington, DC. Lauryn selected this venue after strongly considering a destination wedding abroad in Paris, but ultimately deciding on something local. The ornate interior and effortless courtyard transported guests to a European garden. The wedding was defined by soft, romantic and lush florals, marble accents, gold/cream/blush/grey color palette, flowing champagne and feminine details.
Celina and Rob's winter wedding was layered with meaningful details that were selected with careful thought and attention, and the final result was a magical day for an amazing couple. From the hanging bell escort display inspired by Celina's mothers vintage bell collection, to carolers and hot chocolate outside the church, children carrying signs with lyrics to the song Celina walked down the aisle to and cedar wreaths at each place setting this wedding was nothing short of perfection.
It’s the smallest details that truly transform a wedding into a personalized, once-in-a-lifetime event. From pre-ceremony passed elderflower lemonade and calligraphed bags of flower petals to toss after the first kiss to expertly chosen place settings for an al fresco dinner under the stars, this soft and whimsical wedding at Keswick Hall truly captured the couple’s vision of a destination wedding that catered to their family and friends’ every wish.
If you closed your eyes for just a moment, breathing deeply to inhale the scent of savory olive oil, salty tapenade, and sweet loukoumades {Greek donuts}, this wedding would transport you to the islands of Greece. Any great party with a 1920s vibe needs a fabulous bar, and this custom designed one takes the cake. Tufted panels and a trio of vintage chandeliers, paired with a soft palette of mint, dusty blue, and cream, set the scene for an unforgettable Jazz Age party, complete with French vintage jazz band to serenade guests throughout dinner. Craft cocktails, a vintage car, and over a dozen chandeliers throughout the dinner tent made it a wedding Gatsby himself would have loved to attend.
This chic, modern wedding at the Hay-Adams (featured in the Winter 2015 issue of The Knot!) is feminine, modern and playful. For this love-filled affair taking place on the eve of the couples 20 year anniversary, guests wore black and white while the brides shone in rose gold, and all 65 guests dined at a single long table, creating a sense of intimacy that filled the room. A classic, black-tie, wedding in the Irish countryside. Attention to detail turned a wedding in the Irish countryside into a memorable weekend for all. Festivities kicked-off with a bridal tea along the lake for the ladies and clay shooting for the boys, followed by a welcome party in the library. The wedding day details included monogram dinner napkins and custom designed elements throughout.
There is nothing more intimate than hosting family and friends in your own home. A tent finished with custom light shades and natural wood furniture drew inspiration from inside the couple’s home, with the airy colors of seaglass serving as a soft accent. A menu of the couple’s favorite foods, from hot pretzels and Brazilian grilled meats to a Danish hot dog cart and a morning-after Bloody Mary brunch, made this the ultimate in at-home entertaining.
A classic D.C. venue gets a unique twist, with craft beer at the center of this wedding’s inspiration. From the welcome basket, filled with Michigan beers and gourmet chips, to the four-course tasting dinner, it was a personalized experience that guests adored. The decor was classic with a twist, featureing a blush, navy, copper and cream palette and a ceremony beneath the trees, and the calligraphed beer flight paddles on the table (to serve a craft beer selected for each course!) added a playful touch true to the bride and groom’s passions.

For this home wedding we wanted to bring a residential feel to the event, which was achieved through using a variety of textiles and fabrics. Patterned leg drapes adorned the sides of the clear top tent, custom fabric lamp shades hung low over round tables, and fabric inserts were place in the moulding of bars and tables. Oyster shuckers served as a playful escort display and a nod to the oysters the family grew off their dock.
